Magnatiles

Babu came into town on Thursday.  You can tell these pictures are from Thursday because Moxie is covered in super fun preschool paint.  Anyway, he got to the house and Moxie immediately roped him into play time.  They built castles, made glasses and ears, and did some serious surgery removing crabs from Babu's ears--all with Magnatiles!!

Stacking crayons

Moxie just scored some stacking crayons from a consignment sale. Actually, when I bought them, I didn't realize they were crayons. I just thought they were cones. Well Moxie doesn't care if they are crayons--she cares that you can stack them. More fun that stacking them on the floor? Stacking them on Strider's fingers. 

Playing Puppets

Moxie is figuring things out like how to play with puppets.  With a little help from her dad of course.

Baby Doll

Moxie got a couple baby dolls for her birthday.  She is really excited about taking care of them.  She also likes to try to suck on their pacifiers.  

Baby

Moxie got a couple baby dolls for her birthday. Today she is playing with one. She's mostly trying to jam the bottle and pacifier in her (baby and her own) mouth. 

Play Area

We have been working on setting up a play area for Moxie in the basement.  Bigger job than you might think.  Anyway, it's set up and really freaking cute.

Second Favorite Toy

Moxie has two favorite toys: the piano and the dog water bowl.  Now that she can crawl that's the two places she goes.  The dogs aren't super excited about it and neither are we--but she is a woman who makes up her own mind.

Post Bath Emotions

We work through a lot of emotions after a bath.  It is a lot of work. 

Hangin' out!

Moxie and I got to hang with the funky bunch.  It was really great.  Noa was sweet enough to bring Mox a whole bunch of stuffed animals.  She's got some cool toys.

Brand New Bath Toys

Well, Moxie got an influx of awesome bath toys to add to her collection.  She even got some water.

Moxie and Octopus

This is from a couple weeks ago: Moxie has been having some grumpy times.  She isn't grumpy often and it is usually right before bed.  She is really a very happy baby but every once in a while she flexes her grump muscles. This time the grump came out when I tried to take her octopus away.  Serious mistake.  Sweet girl nursed and fell asleep clutching her bright orange friend.  She takes her love of sea creatures quite seriously.

Sea horse on land

Moxie's new favorite bath toy is a little green sea horse.  She kept hold of it even after her bath.  Strider got a few pictures of her trying to bite his head off.

Update on the sea horse: Pili stole him and now he lives outside.  He is happy there.  We think.

Blue Twiga

Moxie and her new twiga (compliments of Karen Mark!) were all coordinated in their various shades of blue.  Thought we would share a few shots.
