Passover

On Saturday we had a wonderful Seder with our dear friends the Wilsons and the Hartmans. It was absolutely spectacular. Food, wine, asking the four questions, all kinds of things. The kids sat at a kids table and I learned the hard way a tablecloth, though cute, probably didn't make sense for folk keen's age. For those keeping count that was 6 adults, 3 three year olds and 3 one year olds.

Mini-Nut

As many of you know: Moxie has a serious obsession with ballet.  She took a class (cutest thing ever) and was very serious about her dancing.  This year we got tickets to Maryland Youth Ballet's Mini-Nutcracker performance.  It is the highlights of the longer ballet complete with Mouse King, sugar plum fairies, and, yep, Nutcrackers.  Mox took her class with her bestie Riley and we got to sit with them at the show AND go to dinner together.  At the end Moxie and Riley got a pizza with nutella and strawberries on it.  WIN.

We dressed up in our nice clothes (for the second and likely last time)

Both kids needed to blow off a little steam after sitting quietly and enjoying the show for a solid hour.

Got our nails did.

Moxie and I went to get our nails painted today. It was really great. She picked purple and "sprinkles" (aka glitter). The ladies at the salon loved her. They even painted flowers on her toes. I have never seen that girl sit still for so long. She tried to use the massage chair remote as a phone. Everyone thought that was hilarious.

Sweet Sleeping Sisters

Ballet Dancing

Moxie began a few months ago picking flowers for the "ballerina."  She saw a poster of a ballet dancer and immediately fell in love. We signed her up for a ballet class (which doesn't allow photography...) but we got her a leotard. A PINK leotard with a skirt.  Mind blown.

J and L Visit the LR&R

Our dear friends Jonathan and Laura visited while we were in Colorado.  It was super duper fun pants.  We did crafts, played outside, and got lots of time to chat.  It was wonderful.

Dino-mite!

Last week Keen and Mox went to the zoo with their amazing nanny Ms. Debrah. She and a couple other nannies pooled their collective child care power and took the kiddos out. It looks like they had serious fun. Keen's favorite parts were the cool mist and chewing on her moose. Mox loved petting the donkey.

Saturday Mornings

On Saturday mornings we do two things: we go to music class and then we go to lunch with our friends.  It is a really great way to start the weekend.  Moxie and Riley are about the same age--and Coen and Keen are also just a few months apart.  We love Saturdays. This is honestly one of our favorite traditions right now.

After class Ms. Sue gives out stickers.  Moxie picked the stickers AND placement for herself and her sister.

Moxie and Riley wait patiently while we jam the babies into their snowsuits.

They help push the strollers to our eating destination.

Happy Birthday Kiki!

We got to celebrate Kiki's birthday with a funfetti cake.  It was an amazing time.
Also: amazing cake.

Happy Chinese New Year!

A few weeks ago Moxie had a play date with her friend Vivi.  It was great timing because we had to spend that morning with Keen at the doctor, who ended up being fine but had a high temp.  Anyway, Moxie got to go see the dancing dragons for the Chinese New Year! She got to have snacks, bang on a drum, and eat a fortune cookie.

Preschool Update

Moxie's teacher takes pictures everyday. It is wonderful. Here are a few from the last couple of weeks.

Moxie's book club.

Out for a ride.

Ice and letters.
Dancing for the lunar new year.

Let's get serious.

They have music class every two weeks. I think this is where she gets her ballerina moves.

Snooze.

Look what I came home to. Just about the sweetest thing.

Ice Cream

Know who takes ice cream (frozen yogurt) seriously? Moxie.

She knows the ice cream (frozen yogurt) store, she walks in announcing to the whole place what flavor she wants. Tonight she came in yelling "vanilla" and then "chocolate" (the only two flavors she knows). So she got a small cup with a small pile of chocolate (that she immediately licked). Then she got
to pick her toppings. She chose her "favorites" (note: dirt would be her favorite if it was multicolored and on the set of options for toppings). She got gummy bears, gummy fish (just one), coconut, and rainbow sprinkles. Pretty amazing.

Group Nap

Today we had a busy day. Parent/ Teacher conference (Mox is doing great), music class, lunch out, and a play date with a friend (who dropped off dinner).  Well we all wanted a nap. We got one!

Rice Krispy Treats

At my request Bibi and Moxie made rice krispy treats.  Oh the amazingness.  Moxie really likes helping with cooking.  She has this fabulous kitchen stool (gift from cousin Ginger and Claire) and she is learning to be careful around the stove.  She likes measuring things, carefully pouring, and is definitely interested in mixing.   She is now the proud owner of two aprons (thanks Grandpa and Grandma AND Aunt Roxann) and likes to rock them while cooking.
