Consignment Sales

Whoa.  Consignment sales are amazing.  Especially when you go to one with a ninja like my friend Mary-Gray.  She is Ceci's mom (Moxie's baby friend).  We went to the Moms of Multiples sale.  AMAZING.

Apple Of My Eye

We had a wonderful day apple picking.  Sarah, Andrew and Ollie turned us on to this fabulous farm called Larriland Farm.  We got three kinds of apples: stay man, braeburn, and fuji.  The least interesting was the last.  Seriously. Total boring pants.  Anyway, Moxie, Strider, Court, Blake and I squeezed into our biggest car and made the trip out.  We met up with SAO for picking and then a delicious meeting with fresh apple donuts and cider.  Oh, and we got BBQ pork.  That was amazing too.  Moxie spent the afternoon in a sweet jacket Courtney got and with an apple in her hand.  She now really likes holding whole apples and taking bites out.  She laughs every time.  

Ollie ran, Blake slept, and Moxie kept up with the pack.  

Jammy Jams

Moxie and Blake had some fun times in pajamas.  Most of it was spent with Moxie trying to tickle Blake.  He was quite patient with her.  She even went in for her giant open mouth kisses.  Cute for us--slimy for Blake.

Lunch with Faye

We went to the Mini Maker Fair in Silver Spring a couple weeks ago.  We saw a bunch of cool stuff including 3D printers (mind: blown).  We also saw our friends Betsy, Bob, and Faye.  Moxie and Faye are super best friends (see earlier post).  We had lunch all together.  Highlights include Moxie feeding Faye some bread, Faye chewing a bit, taking it out of her mouth and feeding it back to Moxie, and Moxie returning the favor.  They stole each other's sippy cups and shared a delicious Mum Mum for dessert.  So. Cute.

Play Area

We have been working on setting up a play area for Moxie in the basement.  Bigger job than you might think.  Anyway, it's set up and really freaking cute.

Gymboree and Nando

We got to rock Gymboree and delicious Nando's Peri Peri chicken with our dear friends Owen, Becky and Brian.  We are going to miss them so much.  Note: the little girl trying to move in on Owen.  Punk.

Pretty Pink Dress

Moxie and Merrill were supposed to wear matching dresses this summer for an event.  Well, it didn't happen but Merrill and her family were together/amazing enough to send Mox her dress anyway.  We don't have many fancy occasions these days so playing with leaves got real fancy.  Thank you so much to the Bowman's for sending the dress.

Super Hero Birthday

A few weeks ago we got invited to our friend Ari's Super Hero Birthday!  It was wonderful.  Moxie doesn't have a super hero costume so she wore a dish towel as a cape.  It worked.  Sort of.

Strider had just gone to a concert the night before at the 9:30 Club and brought back this onsie.  It made sense--super heroes always go see the latest music.

Aunt Mary I took Moxie around the room while the bigger kids played games like "Run into the foam wall" and "Do flips on the bars." Maybe next year Mox.
